Ignorant Surrender

Why does my heart cry?

Flowing rivers from its eyes

These feelings that I cannot fight

Overcome me all the time


And every night awake in bed

Filled to the brim with read

The thought of you fills my head

The jealousy, it just elates

The tempting thoughts deep below

Actuality and emotions jumbled

I’m getting closer to my prize

I wrote this one a while ago and its not one of my favorites but I do think its interesting to analyze the mindset behind the actions the character takes and how you can easily predict where it is going but he can't or maybe he can and chooses to ignore it. Run-on's FTW!
