Just trying to get some conversations started and I know this one will have an answer. I haven't seen many plays, but what are some of your favorites that I need see in person?

I've seen the movie of Les Miserables but I'm guessing the plays are a much different experience. Same with the Phantom of the Opera. Do you know how expensive plays run if they are just local and not in New York or the like?

I know most school have fairly good plays from the acting programs. I saw "The Life Of Galileo" at mine and it was really good. I had a few friends in it too, so it was even better. They also have plays every few weeks, although I can't say the same for your school (but I bet they have some kind of performance center). Plus students normally get free tickets.

It depends on where you go; Dinner theaters generally cost about 50 bucks, but a high school production would be close to 10. If you want to see a professional show at like the Kennedy center, it can be over 150 bucks, depending on the show, what time, and where you sit, but an amateur show could be anywhere from 20 bucks to like 40.

That doesn't sound too bad at all. Would you say the amateur shows and the professional shows are worth their respective prices? I'm thinking that the amateur show I saw was pretty darn good and well worth 30 or so bucks. Is professional really that big of a difference?
